Australian Product Standards

BlueScope Steel guarantees the quality of its XLERPLATE® steel and certifies compliance with independently established standards. Unless otherwise agreed or required by the specification, products are supplied in accordance with:

AS/NZS 3678:1996 Structural steel - Hot rolled plates, floorplates and slabs
AS/NZS 1594:2002 Hot rolled steel flat products
AS 1548-2008 Fine grained, weldable steel plates for pressure equipment
AS/NZS 1365 Tolerances for flat-rolled steel products

Australian Pressure Vessel Standard (AS1548) changes

The revision to the Australian Pressure Vessel Standard (AS 1548 Standard) has resulted, most significantly, to changes of the grade designations used within the Standard. Consequently, new XLERPLATE® steel grades will be introduced to the custom and standard ranges and eventually replace the existing pressure vessel grades.
